Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s State visit to the US is expected to lead to cooperation in crucial areas such as defence and critical technologies, and eliminate hurdles to building more resilient supply chains. Modi will visit the US during June 20-24, where he will meet with US President Joe Biden and address a joint session of Congress. He will then travel to Egypt during June 24-25 to build on trade and strategic relations between the two sides. Several important deals, including one for India’s planned acquisition of 31 weaponised drones, are expected to be unveiled during the visit.
