Sikkim continues to face rain fury, rescue ops pick up

Heavy rainfall in Sikkim has caused multiple landslides and flash floods, resulting in the army rescuing 300 more tourists stranded in the state. Many remote villages are currently inaccessible following three days of heavy rain, and a number of bridges and farms have been damaged. The army has been evacuating tourists since Saturday, with 2,413 people rescued so far.
