Stamp artist Sankha Samanta designed six commemorative stamps for the Ram temple consecration ceremony in India. The stamps feature elements such as sand from the Sarayu River and gold foil to represent the temple’s surroundings and spiritual significance. Samanta aimed to convey a sense of silence and infinity and preserve the grandeur of the temple by excluding human depictions. The stamps also incorporate sound with the recitation of a devotional hymn dedicated to Ram. Prime Minister Modi personally reviewed and approved the designs.
