The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed concern over the volatile situation in Manipur and called on the government to take action for permanent peace and rehabilitation in the state. The RSS, the ideological fount of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been working to build bridges with tribal communities in the region. At least 150 people have been killed since May 3 in ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kukis communities. The RSS has also discussed relief efforts for those affected by the recent floods in northern India.
