Protesting farmers block NH-44 in Haryana, police resort to baton-charge

Farmers protesting against Haryana government’s decision not to buy sunflower seeds at the MSP blocked National Highway-44 near Shahbad, leading to police baton-charge and water cannon use. The farmers were demanding procurement at the fixed MSP of INR 6,400 per quintal.
