The meeting was attended by all the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs. An all-India outreach programme will be undertaken by the party after the briefing.

The Lok Sabha has passed a bill that empowers the government to establish inter-services organisations and gives heads of these organisations the authority to take disciplinary action against personnel from any of the three services. The bill is part of a series of military reforms aimed at promoting integration and jointness among the armed forces. It is seen as an important step towards the theatreisation of the military. The bill does not propose any changes to the existing service acts/rules/regulations.
