It’s appeasement vs Modi: Shah in K’taka

Amit Shah, India’s Union home minister, has said that the Karnataka assembly election is a battle between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development politics and the Congress’ appeasement politics. Shah defended the BJP-led state government’s decision to scrap the 4% reservation for Muslims and accused the Congress of making baseless allegations about the BJP state government charging a 40% commission. Shah is on a three-day visit to Karnataka and expressed confidence in the BJP forming a government with a full majority in the state.
