Gujarat’s economic inequality challenge

Gujarat is among the most prosperous states in the country , although not everyone in the state has enjoyed the fruits of this development process. And an analysis of the 2017 assembly results shows that the BJP’s losses were not confined to the poorest regions of the state, suggesting that there isn’t a complete correlation between economic well-being and support for the party in the state.
