Puneet Kerehalli, a self-proclaimed cow vigilante, has been arrested in Bengaluru under the Goonda Act due to his involvement in criminal activities, including extortion and disruption of cow slaughter operations. He is facing a total of 10 cases in Karnataka. The arrest comes after Karnataka’s Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj called for action against cow vigilantism. Kerehalli’s criminal record dates back to 2013, with charges including murder and assault.
