BJP MP Lehar Singh highlighted alleged internal discord within the Congress, attributing their protest to personal ambitions thwarted within the party leadership. Senior JD(S) leader GT Deve Gowda criticised the state government’s decision to protest against the central government, adding that there is a need for dialogue between the chief minister and the Union finance minister to address financial concerns and fulfil election promises.
