Indian PM Narendra Modi campaigns in Karnataka, saying it is the people who are contesting the state elections on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Modi held a 26km-long roadshow in Bengaluru and two public rallies in Badami and Haveri. Modi blamed the Congress for impeding the development of the country and called for a “double-engine” government, hitting out at former Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah. The Congress responded by calling Modi a “master of distortion” who only cares for his “grand tamasha”.
